Andrew Rudd Scholarship (2025) – evidence of eligibility
This form is for applicants to provide evidence of their eligibility for the Andrew Rudd Scholarship.
Before completing the form
Before submitting the form, make sure you’ve carefully reviewed the eligibility criteria for the Andrew Rudd Scholarship.
You must have received an offer of a place (conditional or unconditional) on a full-time undergraduate degree course at Sussex.
If you are applying to study a Foundation Year course, you will not be eligible for the Andrew Rudd Scholarship. However, you should still complete this form to verify your eligibility for additional support as a care leaver.
If you’re not eligible for the Andrew Rudd Scholarship, you can still explore other scholarships that you might be eligible for.
Local authority evidence
Before completing the form, you must contact the local authority that have provided your care. You should request an official document from them that includes the following information to verify your status as a care leaver:
- your full name and date of birth.
- the dates you were in local authority care.
- confirmation that this will be your first undergraduate or Foundation Year degree studied in the UK or abroad.
- email, name and contact number for a representative from your local authority.
