How to apply for research ethics review

Once you have established that ethical review is required (either by a Faculty Research Ethics Committee - F-REC) or a School Research Ethics Officer (SREO) you will need to prepare an application.

Please check with your Faculty REC for submission deadlines. The SEM: Science, Engineering and Technology F-REC accepts applications on a rolling basis. F-REC MAH, F-REC Business School and F-REC Social Sciences have a monthly submission deadline of the 20th of each month (closed for August). SREOs also accept applications on a rolling basis (subject to your own School's deadlines).
