Gender Equality Steering Group

The University’s Gender Equality Steering Group, formerly the Self-Assessment team (SAT) was established in March 2012 to develop the University’s bronze institutional submission.  It consists of members of staff and PhD students from across the University, representing academic disciplines and Professional Services areas involved in the Athena Swan submission process. The steering group is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the University’s action plan, institutional renewal applications and the submission of future University-level applications.

The steering group is chaired by Professor Sarah Guthrie (School of Life Sciences) and normally meets 4 times a year.  Steering group members cover a range of grades, contract types and working patterns.

You can see the Terms of Reference for the steering group here.
