Module Outline
This module is designed to help students reflect on their studies of psychology in two ways. First, they will examine the scientific and conceptual underpinnings of psychology, tackling questions about the nature of scientific investigation and other fundamental debates through the history of psychology such as the relation of the mind to body, or how humans flourish. Second, the ethics of psychological research will be scrutinised, with attention to issues that arise in the course of various methodologies employed by psychologists, for example the ethics of using animals in research for the benefit of humans; or the ethics of using children or people with mental illness.
Full Module Description
