Module Outline

This module will allow students to develop their understanding of advanced research methods in clinical psychology. Topics may include global approaches to mental health research, service user involvement or randomised control trials. Successful students will gain an in-depth understanding of the importance of advanced techniques and ways of working in addressing research questions in clinical psychology and mental health research, and explore the strengths and limitations of various methods and perspectives on research.

Full Module Description

This module will allow students to develop their understanding of advanced research methods in clinical psychology. Topicsmay include global approaches to mental health research, service user involvement or randomised control trials. Successful students will gain an in-depth understanding of the importance of advanced techniques and ways of working in addressing research questions in clinical psychology and mental health research, and explore the strengths and limitations of various methods and perspectives on research.

Demonstrate a practical understanding of how advanced research methods can be used to address research questions in the area of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health.
