Full Module Description
In this module students will explore the current issues and themes in developmental psychology within the context of children’s services. Students will engage with the research, policy, and practice that surrounds children’s services. . Students in this module collaborate to bring together their knowledge of child development practice and theory to design a course of action to improve outcomes for a particular topic in child development, such as what features make the optimal classroom, or how to design interventions to improve outcomes for particularly vulnerable children.
Module Outline

Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of existing research, practice and policy in children’s services.
Critically evaluate research, practice, and policy in the area of children’s services and identify current problems, limitations, and gaps in research.
Apply knowledge of children’s services to propose ideas, solutions, and/or future directions in response to current problems.
