Module Outline

This module addresses the role that psychological research can play in understanding and supporting a child’s family and home environment/interactions. Workshops will introduce material on broad theoretical perspectives concerning the psychology of the family as well as specific challenges to children’s home experiences throughout their childhood. Students will be introduced to current issues and controversies in family and home psychology and will have the opportunity to reflect on these and discuss with one another in the workshops. Throughout the module, students will be encouraged to consider the implications of psychological research for designing and implementing practical strategies to support the family and home environment.

Full Module Description

This module addresses the role that psychological research can play in understanding and supporting a child’s family and home environment/interactions.
