Module Outline

This module will provide an overview of major theories, methods, research findings and debates in social psychology. Students will examine classic studies, current findings, and evaluate published research reports relating to interpersonal, intragroup, and intergroup processes. The module will review topics such as social influence, group membership and identity, prejudice and collective behaviour, and the psychology of culture.

This module will provide an overview of major theories, methods, research findings and debates in social psychology. Students will examine classic studies, current findings, and evaluate published research reports relating to interpersonal, intragroup, and intergroup processes. The module will review topics such as social influence, group membership and identity, prejudice and collective behaviour, and the psychology of culture.

Describe and evaluate competing accounts of social behaviour and cognition

Evaluate the role of individual differences in at least one area of social psychology
