Module Outline

We need to regulate our thoughts, feelings and behaviour in order to achieve our goals. In this module, we will consider the processes involved in self-regulation, how it interacts with emotional, physical and social functioning, and interventions that can help people to achieve their goals. You will gain theoretical and practical insights into how people successfully pursue their goals, and will apply these insights to your own lives. This module also takes a critical perspective on theories and evidence, and aims to help you develop your skills in thinking critically and evaluating the quality of research.
