Module Outline
This is a professional skills-focused module. The module introduces students to child psychology assessment, including interviews, observation schedules, standardised assessment methods, and questionnaires. Each workshop will introduce a different form of child assessment and will give students the opportunity to try it out for themselves. Student’s understanding of the content will be assessed my means of reflective essays wherein they identify the strengths and limitations of these real-world professional skills from both an academic perspective and in terms of their own experiences. Thus the module provides both experiential learning of professional assessment methods and promotes critical appraisal of available techniques.
Full Module Description
