Module Outline
This module begins by exploring the role of research in the clinical context and discusses various clinical research methods. The module considers what kind of questions clinical psychologists are interested in addressing and how they might go about answering them. The bulk of the module is concerned with how to design and evaluate a proposal for a clinical research project, including discussion of practical, ethical and design issues that clinical psychologists are likely to encounter in the real-world NHS. Finally, we consider the clinical implications of research and what promotes and restricts the implementation of evidence-based practice.

This module begins by exploring the role of research in the clinical context and discusses various clinical research methods.
