Module Outline
Cognitive Psychology is the scientific study of the mechanisms of the mind. Learning sessions will provide a broad coverage of Cognitive Psychology, which may include topics such as perception, attention, memory, language, and thinking. The module will explore how these core cognitive functions may be disrupted as a result of clinical conditions or differ across individuals. Learners will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of cognitive psychological research, based on academic readings. Also, learners will practice the evaluative and creative problem-solving skills needed to devise cognitive psychological research and to discuss its theoretical and real-world importance.

Cognitive Psychology is the scientific study of the mechanisms of the mind.
