Module Outline
By the end of the module students will have developed the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children and young people experiencing difficulties associated with anxiety and depression.
Throughout the module, students will gain a detailed understanding of assessment, formulation and treatment strategies as applied to children & young people experiencing differing diagnoses of anxiety and depression. Each session will include theoretical teaching which will provide students with an overview of the topic area. Knowledge and skills will then be grounded and consolidated through individual and small group excercises.

By the end of the module students will have developed the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children and young people experiencing difficulties associated with anxiety and depression.

Module learning outcomes
Demonstrate competence for delivery of cognitive behavioural interventions with children and young people suffering from Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD) & Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Demonstrate a systematic understanding of, and critical awareness of the theory and evidence base of the core features of cognitive behavioural interventions with children and young people suffering from Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD) & Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Demonstrate an originality and reflective practice in cognitive behavioural interventions with children and young people suffering from Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD) & Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),
